Description

Blanket bogs dominated by a mixture of monocotyledons, dwarf shrubs from the family Ericaceae and Sphagnum species. They often feature a well developed surface of hummocks and hollows. At bog pools (kolks) there are transitions to Sphagnum moss-dominated Rhynchosporion vegetation.
