French-atlantic sand-dune vegetation complexes with Cakile maritima, Atriplex laciniata, Salsola soda, Elymus farctus subsp. boreoatlanticus on fore-dunes, Ammophila arenaria subsp. arenaria, Matthiola sinuata, Helichrysum conglobatum, Galium arenarium, Dianthus hyssopifolius, Artemisia campestris subsp. maritima on white dunes, Corynephorus canescens, Carex arenaria, Quercus ilex, Quercus suber, Pinus pinaster on grey dunes and scrub (Ligustrum vulgare, Daphne gnidium)
Description
Complex of single to two-layered sand-dune vegetation (species-poor to -rich) with dominance of rhizome geophytes on fore-dunes and nanophanerophytes on grey dunes as well as with frequent therophytes, chamaephytes and cryptogams between the two dune groups.
