Description

Two- to three-layered beech forests, sometimes with fir, sycamore and other deciduous tree species. The shrub layer is mostly sparse, but better developed in thermophilous forms; herb layer with meso- to thermophilous species, while tall forbs recede. Mosses are sparse.
