Description
Complex of low, wind-swept heaths and short-grass meadows consisting of dwarf shrubs, monocotyledons, pleurocarpous mosses and lichens alternating with vegetation-bare rocks. The lichen blankets as an important characteristic represent the more continental type and differ quite strongly from the heaths and short-grass meadows. Many northern floral elements are present.
