The entire vegetation, with an absent shrub layer, is a vegetation complex determined by small-scale site differences. Relief differences (wind-exposed elevations and chionophilous basins) alternating with rubble communities of the middle alpine belt have a particularly imposing effect. Some woody species with a low creeping growth pattern (Dryas octopetala, Salix herbaceae) are present.
